Good day

We went to the Shanghai Museum and Silk Museum. Then went shopping in the market and a few went to the top of an 88 story building to get a good view of some of the over 6000 skyscrapers in Shanghai. We just finished dinner and are heading to see acrobatics. Then bed and saying goodbye to our friends from Utah and CA. They head to the airport a few hours before us in the morning.

In Xian

Thanks so much to my sister for posting for us since it's still not working well posting from China. We are about to arrive in Xian via night train. Pretty awesome. We learn calligraphy this morning and then go to a Chinese school. Looking forward to the kids having interactions with students their age.

Yesterday we went to the Lama Templeand then Confucius Temple. Then we had lunch at a traditional families house in the hutong. There were koi, birds that would say 'Ni Hao' and the Cricket Master. Make sure you ask about this one!  Then we learned tai chi in the courtyard at the Bell Tower. In the rain. Good stories.

We celebrated Maggies birthday yesterday and Tim Stewart's birthday the day before. It's been a great trip and James our guide is the best!
